A former
USAF Major, intelligence officer and Minuteman III launch officer, Earl retired from Nellis Air Force Base in 1987 after serving
as Chief of Intelligence for Red Flag. Earl and wife Katherine have lived in Las Vegas since 1984, raising their two
sons, Earl III and John. Earl currently works at the Nevada Test Site developing and managing qualification and training
programs for "rocket science" type facilities. Besides NHRA drag racing, Earl restores cars and serves as
a crew chief officiating high school football games. He began racing seriously in 1998, winning the Division 7 Salt
Lake City event that same year. Paul Haszlauer, who engineered and built the two Stock Eliminator cars shown here, is
currently developing two Super Stock cars for Earl, a 1069 Barracuda and 1971 Demon. Earl races throughout throughout
Divisions 6 and 7 at both National and Divisional meets, as well as hitting our local bracket series at LVMS when his
schedule permits. Earl is assisted in his racing efforts by Haszlauer Engineering of Las Vegas. While not sporting the Jerry's Nugget banner anymore, Earl remains a good
friend. His postings will still occupy this space, giving visitors a look into the "the other side of racing",
NHRA National Event style. You can read Earl's final report on his 08 season in the "Latest News" section.
